Random Stuff

I helped Niel pull out the tree stumps in the front yard!

I am definitely taller than my mom now! It SUPER obvious!

My science project.

The outcome.... ziplock bags kept the strawberries the most fresh. I believe it is because no air was able to get in to cause moisture.

I only got 86% on this project.... which pissed me off. I think I should have gotten a WAY better score. Doesn't my poster look awesome?!!

Football 2010!

I really like defense. I like it because I can hit as hard as I want. I play defensive tackle on the defensive line.

My favorite position on offense was running back. I am starting running back for the A team. I averaged a touchdown a game!!

I tried out for running back and defensive line.

This is my favorite game in football. It's called the ring of death. Me and Cannon are the "Clash of the Dragons"

I made it on the A team and ready for a new year.
P.S. this is me and Cannon.

Spring Break

For Spring Break this year we did stuff like....
Climb the biggest net that I've ever seen.

At the same park with the nets. We tried to see who could go the farthest away from the swing, and I won!

Sea World was the bomb! We did lots of stuff like take a simulator to the Arctic, and we saw the Sea Lions act.

The world famous Shamu!! He was awesome, he got a us soaked. He got us so good that Garrett had to dry of in the sun for about a half hour.

As you can see we got soaked.

One of my favorite things about the trip was the ocean. We boogie boarded the whole time there. I even made a cool sand castle

This is my favorite spot on the trip. This place was crazy. It made so that you could lean over a table and not fall of.

We got to go to the Santa Cruze board walk. I was fun and this was a very sick ride!

At the board walk there were crazy benches like this.

At the San Diego Zoo We saw tons of animals. Some were pretty cool but most of them were awesome!!

This is how big my dad is. Just kidding but I thought this guy was very cool. They eat about a full fridge a serving.

Science Project

Science Project

Conner Quiring

The question I am trying to solve for my science project is: Does heat drop the air pressure in a bottle enough to push an egg through the narrow opening?

My hypothesis is: Dropping pressure will not be enough to push the egg through the narrow opening.

The variable is: The air pressure in the bottle when it is cold and when it is hot.

The constants are: The egg and the bottle.

In order to achieve valid results, I will test each of the variables 2 times.

Supplies that I will need: Two eggs, a bottle with a narrow opening, and matches (paper).

My procedure is: Step one, find a bottle with a medium sized mouth. Step two, hard boil the eggs. Step three, place peeled egg on the narrow opening of the bottle. Step four, check if egg falls to the bottom of the bottle. Step five, remove egg put lit matches in the container. Step six, place egg back on opening. Step seven, check to see if the egg is pushed through the container. Step eight was the bottle and then us it again, two to three more times.

My results: When there is no flame in the bottle the egg rest on top of the opening, because the air pressure pushing down on the egg and pushing up on the egg are the same. The matches didn’t work so I burned paper. Once I got a flame in the bottle it did suck the air in the bottle and the air pressure on top of the egg pushed it into the narrow opening of the bottle. Once the flames took some of the air out of the bottle, the air pressure on top was strong enough to push the egg into the bottle.

My conclusion: My hypothesis was wrong because, the air pressure was enough to push the egg into the bottle. The heat of flame sucks the air around it so there is little air inside of the bottle. The air pressure on top of the egg is stronger than the air pressure in the bottle. So it pushes the egg into the bottle.
