My county report

PIUTE COUNTY

By Conner Quiring

If you don’t know anything about Piute read this. There’s mining, Butch Cassidy, and recreation.

Piute County has a gold mine. Here are three facts of mining. Gold was found in 1868-1956. There was 240,000 ounces of gold found. The mine where the gold was found, was in Lode Mines in Tushar Range. After all, mining is cool.

I’m wondering if you know Butch Cassidy? Did you know he was a western out law? What’s cool is that he was raised by Mormon pioneers. Where was he was raised, you might ask? He was raised in Eln Circle Utah. If you like that you should look in to it more.

Now there are some fun activities you can do in Piute County. There is a mountain that is 2,000 feet tall. It is called Tushar Mountain. If you would like to do another exciting activity, then go to Elk Meadows. There is also fishing and boating in the Piute Lake.

I think that I would go fishing and boating if I went there. I could possibly even be rich. Piute sounds cool and sweet! I would recommend you take a vacation to Piute County.
